My Creative Space...and giveaway

GIVEAWAY NOW CLOSED*** thanks to everyone who entered

With Christmas only 3.5 months away I thought I better get cracking on all those Christmas things that creep up on me...On Father's Day on Sunday it rained all day so the kids and my hubby snuggled up to watch some dvds and got stuck into making something I have been wanting to make for AGES!

I had looked on the internet for a tutorial but couldn't find one that exactly suited what I wanted to do.. so I am going to do my first ever tutorial on how to make these.. my way *grin* (tomorrow!)

yo yo treeyo yo tree 4

Oh and a little itty bitty version delights me even more!!!!little yo yo tree

both yo yo trees

I struggled with the star on top and spent several hours making a felt one then sewing beads on it for the bigger tree.  So... any ideas would be appreciated!

I would like to share the love I am feeling for my yo yo trees so if you would like to win an ITTY BITTY YO YO CHRISTMAS TREE

1) for one chance leave a comment

2) for two also become a follower

3) for three chances, do all the above plus post about it on your blog.

I'll get the elves to help me draw out the winner on Friday 17th September 5pm (Brisbane time)

I am planning to sell these at the markets so if you'd like to buy one direct, email me kiwiatheartdesigns@gmail.com for prices.

I am linking up to this weeks Creative spaces at Kootoyoo and also to Creative Kiwis.

Oh thats cute as Leonie. I have some little diecut felt stars with sticky on the back, you could use two and stick 'em together. Or depending how many you're thinking of doing you might invest in a scrapbookers star shaped punch - they work on felt, but expect nylon felt to dull the blade of the cutter quite quickly (wool felt doesn't do this but its way more expensive). Maybe glue on sequins for the bling - that might be faster? Happy to send you some stars if that interests you - or red felted wool, I have some of that. Did you ever find some more of those lovely bird cages?

Would love to enter as I'm a bit techically challenged when it comes to sewing so there's not much chance of me making one that even vaguely resembles your wonderful creation. And I'm already a follower. So now I just need to post about the giveaway and I'm good for 3 chances!
