Creative Space

I have a hundred things I SHOULD be doing... but Ive been bitten by the Crochet bug...and its bringing out the Nana in me.... you know heater, slippers, crochet...bliss! (oh and that's the ocean in the background that I get to gaze at while Im crocheting!)

I have had an ongoing struggle learning to crochet... knitting came easily in comparison.
But, with the help of two left-handed crocheters  (I am right handed.. but THANK YOU to my sister and PJ) and a lot of patience... I have finally cracked the Granny Square!!! woohoo...

So in the last two days I have made 11  squares...in my fave colours, red, aqua and white......

Right I'm off to do some more!!!

I know what you mean about knitting being easier to learn - I struggled with crochet for about 6 months last year before I started to get to grips with it. Now I live to crochet!

This is the exact colour scheme I want in a granny blanket for one of my boys! Gorgeous Leonie! Wow I wish I could learn how to crochet, I have tried and tried and it just isn't clicking...

Loving your colour choice. I always find the process of granny squaring quite meditative myself - love the rhythm and beauty of it.
