It's school holidays here, and that means its all about the kids getting their craft on!
A friend's daughter carefully machine sews for the first time - her sewing was perfect.
The completed Owl Softies... using this tutorial here (mostly)
The younger girls made these beautiful softies using the pattern in one of my sewing books Sew Darn Cute
What crafting are your kids doing these holidays? Do you like to sew with them?

I don't know if I would be brave enough to let my kids sew!!! Doesn't help that I'm not the most confident sewer myself! Those softies are absolutely adorable
Well done kids. They look ten times better than my one crappy sock monkey I made...hence why my kids dont sew yet either!
THAT is AWESOME!
What a clever mama... and clever kids!
x
Just love this - not really getting into sewing with my kids yet... but you have inspired me!
they look fantastic - I am loving the holidays - not quite ready for machine sewing but certainly crafting!
Such cute owls! Awesome idea :-)
These are so great and I love seeing the girls enjoy sewing. You've motivated me to try to get my kids interesting in making something. Might not be so easy with boys! Cx
oh my 7-year-old and her bestie would LOVE LOVE LOVE these owls!! The only thing that is scaring me is the sight of the sewing machine!! haha... i so need to get me a bit of sewing machine courage ;-) They are soooo cute!
'these are fabulous!! And I LOVE the fabric! I hope you didn't just have these beautiful fabrics just "lying around in the stash" Ar! I would kill for these xx
Oh aren't they clever and they all look so pleased with their softies......well done.
I'm sure they had loads of fun making them.
